Bulma:Bulma is the daughter of Dr. Briefs. Her father is the founder of Capsule Corporation and the inventor of the Capsule. She was 16 when the the Dragonball series started. She is a scientific genuis. She did several important things during the series. Bulma invented the Dragon Radar, invented the shrinking ray held inside a watch, rebuilt an alien scouter, learned how to fly an alien ship and repaired an android. She started out as being important in the beginning of Dragonball and gradually became less important. Bulma is married to Vegeta her son is Chibi Trunks and her daughter is Bra. Bulma was the second character to appear in Dragonball. When the series started out Bulma was seen searching for the magic Dragonballs to wish for the perfect boyfriend. When she first met Goku she was going to take his Dragonball away from him. But decided not to after she learned that Goku believed his deceased grandfather's spirit was inside the four star Dragonball. Bulma already had several Dragonballs in her possession and asked Goku to accompany her as her bodyguard. Goku agreed but was unaware that Bulma planed on taking the wish for herself the momment they collected all of the Dragonballs. Later on Bulma met Yamcha. The two eventually became a couple and Yamcha briefly lived with her at her father's place Capsule Corporation. As Bulma grew up she became more touchy then she was a child. Yamcha later on fools around with women behind Bulma's back and she dumps him. Bulma does not discover how much Yamcha meant to her until after his death at the hands of the Saibamen. She joins Krillin and Gohan on their journey to Nameck since she was the only one capable of flying Nameckian ship. Her reason for gowing was to bring Yamcha back from the dead. Yamcha and Bulma are briefly seen together as a couple after the Frieza saga but it does not last. When Vegeta trained at the Capsule Corporation in her father's gravity room Bulma develops feelings for him. Three years pass before Bulma is seen again she emerges during the Android saga with a baby named Chibi Trunks the son of Bulma and Vegeta. Following the death of Cell, Bulma and Vegeta get married. Vegeta takes care of his family during this time but displays no signs of affection for either his wife or son. Still Bulma cares about him and displays it openly. Bulma is seen as a side character in the Buss saga. Gyuu Maou the Ox King: The Ox King is the father of ChiChi. ChiChi's mother may have died when she was young as she is never seen in the series. Maou originally lived in a castle on mount Frying Pan and became ferious after it the mountain was lit on fire. He was one of Kame-sennin's first pupils. Gyuu Maou upon his first appearance in Dragonball revealed that he was friends with Goku's father. His appearance changes from Dragonball to Dragonball Z. At the start he wears goggles but later substitutes them for regular glasses. His Viking helmet is traded in for a hat with horns on it. Gyuu is very kind and cares deeply about his son-in-law Goku. Krillin: As a kid Krillin was Goku's rival when they trained under Roshi. He wanted to be the best fighter and stronger then Goku. When they first met Krillin was unknown to him stronger then Goku. Overtime Krillin and Goku became best friends. Krillin always wanted to get married. Eventually her married Android 18 after she was turned into a human by a wish from the Dragonballs. Android 18 and Krillin become a couple and later 18 bares his child Marron. Krillin was a pretty important character in DB but becomes less important in the later epidsodes of DBZ. Piccolo: Piccolo is the offspring of Daimon who was pure evil which seperated from Kami-sama whem Kami purged himself of evil so he could be the guardian of Earth. Daimon Piccolo and Kami-sama were one person split into two bodies. If one of them were to die the other would as well. As Diamon was dying he created a Namech egg containing a new Piccolo. He vowed to Goku that his son would avenge his death. Thus Piccolo was not created as pure evil like Diamon Piccolo. He was created to avenge Diamon's death by killing Goku. The two first met in the Budokai tournament. When Radditz arrived Piccolo became an unwilling ally of Goku. Goku sacrificed himself to stop Radditz. His dying wish was for Piccolo to train his son against the onslaught of the Saiya-jin's that would come to avenge Radditz. Piccolo unwillingly agreed to train Goku's son. His millitant style training made Gohan stronger and unleashed Gohan's talent. During the time Piccolo spent training Gohan he began to care about Gohan as though he were his son. How much Gohan meant to Piccolo was revealed when Piccolo sacrificed himself to block an attack by Nappa meant for Gohan. Their friendship was further explored during the Frieza saga. Shenron: Shenron was the Dragon god created by Kami. Living inside the Dragon Balls, Shenron could emerge and grant a wish to anyone who gathered the balls the seven balls into one space. He was very impatient and would often threaten to leave if the summoner did not make his wish quickly. After Dende beefs up Kami's Shenron he could grant 2 wishes and resurect more than one person at once. Dende later made in 3 wishes before the Buu saga. Tien: Tien or Tienshinhan is a three eyed man. His fighting partner is Chaotzu. Tien is often considered to be one of the weaker characters. Although he had a close match with Goku in Dragonball during one of the Tenkaichi Budokais tournaments. Umigame: Muten Roshi's turtle and personal companion. Umigame is usually trying to keep master Roshi from looing at pornos. His power level is 0.001 but he is a good fighter. He fought two guys trying to take advantage of Maron. Yamcha: He first appears in Dragonball as a bandit from the wastelands. He found out about the Dragon balls and tries to steal them with his friend Puar so he can stop being afraid of girls. In the end he was beaten up by Goku and joined them on their quest. Yamche became Bulma's boyfriend although they broke up later in DBZ. Yamcha's special move is his Fist of the Wolf Fang. He is not one of the strongest characters in DBZ but he takes part in most of the fights. He changes his appearance alot like Bulma. Karin: Grower of the Senzu beans Karin lives in the tower just below Kami's palace. He is very wise and is also the protector of the sacred and holy waters. Karin trains Goku during the Tao Pai Pai fight although Goku didn't know it at the time. Karin always comes through with Senzu beans. Mr. Popo: Kamis assistant and friend Popo doesn't look like a fighter but is actually a strong fighter. He helps train Goku and travels on a flying carpet. Master Roshi: Roshi trained Goku and Kurillin when they were children. He was always outdone Goku but showed no signs of if bothering him. Roshi studied hard to master the Kame Hame Ha well Goku learned it in his first try. Roshi plays a large role in Dragonball and DBZ. Oolong: Oolong has the special ability to shape shift. He does not know how to fight and is usually a spectator when one occurs. His role is small in Dragonball and Dragonball Z. Puar: Yamcha's best friend Puar helped him rob people who passed through their home when Yamcha was the robber known as the Desert Fox. Unlike Oolong, Puar can hold any shape he wants for as long as he desires. Puar is not much of a fighter and usually watches from the sidelines. Grandpa Gohan: The kind old man that found Goku in the Saiya-jin pod and adopted him as his own naming him Goku. One night Goku sees the full moon and transforms into the Giant Ape and accidently steps on Grandpa Gohan. He appears again after Goku meets Uranai Baba using his only day back on Earth to see his grandson. Kami: A lone Nameck that was sent to Earth before his planet was hit by a comet. Kami grew up on Earth alone. After Kami grew up he attempted to become the guardian of Earth but was denied because of the evil present within him. After splitting himself away from his evil he became the guardian of Earth. However his evil side formed into a demon named Piccolo Daimoa to whom Kami had a spiritual link if one died the other died as well. When Goku killed Piccolo Daimoa, Kami survived because Piccolo Daimoa created an offspring Piccolo. Kami and Piccolo Jr. merged together during the Cell saga and now Piccolo is the only one left of the three. Chaotzu: Chaotzu is a small emperor on Earth whose origin is unknown. He and Tien are best friends and often spar with one another. He is a formidable figther in Dragonball but his kai or power does not increase. In Dragonball Z Chaotzu is faded out. ChiChi: Goku and ChiChi met in the first series as children. ChiChi asked him to merry her back then. Goku agrees at the time thinking that marriage is food. When he gets older he discovers that he really does care about her. ChiChi gives him two children Gohan and Goten. She worries alot especially over her childrens safety. Dr. Brief: Founder of the Capsule Corporation and Bulma's father. He builds the ships used by the Z fighters and repairs Andriod 16. Baba: Muten Roshi's sister Baba is a gifted fortune teller. She is also gifted with the ability of being able to transport from real life to the after life which aids Goku and Vegeta during the Buu saga. Goku: His real name is Kakaroto. He discovered that from his brother Radditz which was also the first time that he learned that he is a Saiya-jin. He is a great warrior and spectacular leader. Throughout the entire series he inspires many of the Z fighters especially his own sons. Even though he became the most powerful warrior alive after the defeat of Frieza he still strove to become stronger. After future Trunks foretold of the arrival of Dr. Gero's cyborgs Goku chose to allow them to arive instead of killing Gero before they could be created. After he forfeited his battle against Cell none of the others including Gohan had the confidence to defeat Cell. Goku alone had confidence in Gohan up until the end when Gohan was seriously injured. He never quits no matter how bleak the situation. When Cell was near the brink of exploding and taking Earth with him Goku remembered that he could teleport Cell off Earth before he died. Goku played an important part in the cyborg saga after learning that he died of an illness in the future and Gohan was killed by Android #17. Following his first encounter with #17, #18 and Cell Goku discovered that Super Saiyan-jin was not enough. Under his training in the time room of Gohan his sons full power was realized. Launch: A girl with the ability to change personalities and appearance when she sneezes. Launch is a sweet vacant loving girl in one form and a mean machine gun wielding gangster in the other. Her changes comes in handy during the Budokai's when she cleared the crowd and allowed her friends to get up front. She is a good cook and falls in love with Tien. Mrs. Brief: The mother of Bulma and wife of Dr. Brief. She is very ditsy and often does stupid things like overpouring drinks well talking.
